Landforms
The Atlantic Maritime Ecozone is in the Appalachian landform region. The highest point in the ecozone is Mount Carleton, which reaches 807 metres! It has rough upland terrain which isn't good for farming because it has poor soils. The coastal lowlands are where most of the population is and is better for agriculture. There are a lot of lakes and regions of igneous rock, which are covered by a thin layer of soil. There are red sandstone cliffs and volcanic rocks in the Bay of Fundy which are up to 5km wide!
